Changing How We Fax

FaxEway Is a program that many companies are using today. It is a system that transfers your faxes, that are normally printed when they are received, to your email as PDF files. This system not only saves paper by not wasting it on advertising faxes or cover letters of documents, but it also saves ink/toner used to print all of these unnecessary faxes.

This program offers an assortment of pluses. For one thing it is a GREEN change that can easily be made by even the smallest company. The monthly cost of this program is often greatly out weighed by the savings on paper and toner/ink from not having to print out every fax. This system also allows a digital copy to be saved and easily referenced in the future, without having to make additional copies of it or taking additional time to scan faxes into your computer.

This feature is also a great substitution to scanning files. You can fax them to yourself and you will have a digital copy of everything you need. This is excellent for a company who doesn’t require the use of a scanner regularly, but occasionally needs a digital copy to be made; for that having a FaxEway line can be a great help.

Once in place you can change the email address associated with the fax line at any time by contacting your FaxEway provider, the change does not require any lag time. It is also possible to un-forward your line at anytime should you decide you would rather return to a standard way of receiving faxes. Just don’t forget to contact your FaxEway provider to stop your service.

The only draw backs of this system is that it does not have an outgoing option at this time, so you would still need a fax machine and line for out going faxes. This advancement might be made in the future, however currently it is not offered.

FaxEway can be set up in three easy steps:
  1. Contact a FaxEway provider and get a fax number that will be used to transfer your faxes to email
  2. Forward your current fax line to your new number
    1. This is easily done by dialing *72 followed by your new fax number, waiting for the dial tone to pick up, and then hang up
  3. Start receiving your faxes to your email!

This change has been great for our company, it allows everyone to have their own fax line and receive their own faxes to their private email which eliminates any privacy issues. It has also allowed us to stop buying toner for our main fax, now we just use it to send faxes out which has saved us a lot of paper and toner costs. If you think this might be something worth looking into for your company check out our website www.888print10.com or email us!
